In 2006 we jokingly began chatting about leaving the United States and opening up a youth hostel somewhere around the world. At the time we had successful careers and wonderful friends in Bellingham, WA. We took the leap and a few months later found ourselves buying property on Ambergris Caye, Belize. After several months we decided to build a grocery store and offer additional services for all the tourists who come to the north side of the island.
