Mata Grande Grocery Online Ordering Help Guide:

Below you will find a variety of questions commonly asked. The answers in bold, are important-please read! If you are already down here and need delivery service-please feel free to use the online shopping site too......BUT-PLEASE CALL or EMAIL US IMMEDIATELY TO CONFIRM WHEN WE WILL DELIVER.

Where is the store located?

Answer: Our store is located 4.5 miles north of San Pedro Town. We are both road and beach accessible. To give you a good idea of where we are located...we are located:

-3/4 of a mile north of Coco Beach Resort

-.65 miles north of Belizean Shores Resort

-.55 miles north of Las Terrazas Resort

-1/4 of a mile north of Iguana House and Tree House

-1000 feet north of Los Encantos

-Directly Behind Caye Villas

-1/3 of a mile south of Palacio Del Caribe and Baja Mar

-1/2 mile south of Mata Chica Resort, Casa Plata, Playa Blanca and Casa De Stepp

-1 mile south of Tropical Escape and La Perla Del Caribe

-1.15 miles south of Portofino Resort

-1.75 miles south of Costa Maya Resort

Are prices in U.S. or Belize dollars?
Answer: all prices are in U.S. dollars online. They are in belize dollars in the store.

How early should I place my order?
Answer: ASAP. In order to make sure we have the items you requested-we need as much time as possible. All orders must be submitted and paid with at least 4 days of notice.
Many of the vendors have limited hours of operation. Additionally-this island is subject to deliveries from the mainland which can sometimes take several days to reach here.
• If you have already arrived at your villa or resort and are trying to place an order, please call us directly to confirm when we will be able to deliver.

Is there a delivery charge?
Answer: 

Between November 5th-December 31st, 2011-all grocery orders over $150usd will have free delivery.

Orders less than $150usd will have a $20 u.s. delivery charge.
This charge will automatically occur when you complete your shopping

I am done shopping-what is the checkout process?
Answer:
• You will be asked to provide your shipping address. Just use a U.S. address. It’s not important…….really-it’s not important.
• You will then be prompted to select a method of payment. Pay with credit card through paypal* or “print and call”
• Lastly, you will be prompted to enter location of the resort or private house you will be staying on Ambergris Caye under “special instructions." Please also  include the date you will arrive and your estimated time of arrival.

**IF YOU HAVE ALREADY ARRIVED-PLEASE INCLUDE THIS UNDER SPECIAL INSTRUCTIONS BY WRITING: ALREADY ARRIVED**

*PLEASE NOTE: you do not need to have a paypal account if you are paying a credit card. Paypal simply acts as the secure site to process your credit card.
You will pay by credit card the same way you make any other online purchase.

What is “print and call”
Answer: “print and call” can be used if you are unsure of an item or want to add something to your list that we didn’t have on the site. We will receive your order and contact you by email.
Once we answer your question and figure out your bill-we will send you an invoice through paypal requesting payment.

When do I need to pay?
Answer:
AS SOON AS YOU HAVE ORDERED YOUR ITEMS. WE WILL NOT SET ASIDE ITEMS FROM THE STORE OR SHOP FOR YOU UNTIL PAYMENT IS RECEIVED.

Is there anything else I need to do?
Answer: The last thing you need to provide is the location and unit number of your villa or house. We will also need to know the estimated time of arrival.
We will enter into your villa prior to your arrival and stock the house with all your items. We will leave a copy of your order in your house or villa.

If you forget to enter this information under "special instructions/resort location" please send us an email.

I ordered something and it wasn’t here when I arrived. Do I get a refund?
Answer: Due to the nature of the island and country, sometimes certain items are just not available.

If we have received your order in advance-we will notify you and find out if you prefer an alternative. If we cannot locate an alternative or we did not receive the order in time,
You will receive a refund in cash. We will leave the cash in an envelope next to the invoice in your villa.
